Spin Cycle: Yummy!

I've been spending my "free" time lately working my way through a longish To Do list which includes some handmade Christmas gifts. I'd love to share them, but pretty much everyone on our list this year reads this blog. (Just know that if we have your family, I'm going to be spoiling your kids with homemade toys and games, because that's just the kind of mood I'm in this year.)

These are so much fun, though, that I decided to share them anyway, in honor of this week's Spin Cycle: Arts and Crafts. A certain little girl is going to be getting some felt play food, including the above (whole wheat) PB&J and strawberry. (Now you know, Joseph, why I was asking you all those weird questions.)

The strawberry was from one on Ume Crafts free patterns on her blog. The sandwich is not hard to figure out how to make. Mantha and anyone else who likes to make their kids toys, beware Ume Crafts patterns. She has way too many cute ideas. (This is the same place I bought the pattern for those gingerbread houses last year.)

If you have something crafty (or artsy) you want to share, it's not too late to get in on this week's Spin Cycle. Or you can blog up something for next week's topic: Photo Essays. Can't wait for that.

How adorable! Sprite would get such a kick out of those! The patterns are great, but you need to have a skill with sewing to make it look good, and YOU HAVE SKILLS! You're linked!
