Learning a foreign language

Mama: Little Fish made a big mess

Beeper: He made a stinky poop?

Mama: No, he just made a mess.

Beeper: Well "stinky poop" is just another way to say, "He made a mess," in Spanish.

Beeper's been working on his English skills too, practicing passive voice:

"Why is Little Fish crying?"

"He was hit by the teapot."

(This post was brought to you by the Spin Cycle. This week it's all about words.)

Ha! Who threw the teapot????
Sprite is still working on the passive terms like "What your name is?" or "What you are doing?"
I can't help that I love it, but need to work on correcting it before she makes it to elementary school with evidence that I didn't. You're linked!

Flying teapots, huh?

We're still working on possessives at our house. I'm trying to get LG to say, "Mine" instead of "Mine's". Irks me to no end.

Was Little Fish hit by the teapot because He made a mess?

I never remembered having difficulty with things like that (of course, I'm sure I can be corrected).

So 'stinky poop' means 'he made a mess' in Spanish? Too funny! And what's with the flying teapot?! :)
