Life is good

(not to be confused with, "Life is perfect.")

Yesterday in church we sang, "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today." It hit me that we have had some of those days in our house lately where "the peaceful, happy moments roll." It gives me peace knowing that we are heading in the right direction - the path that's best for our family.

We are really loving homeschool so far. We are enjoying the curriculum I finally settled on. Beeper enjoys learning, for the most part. He is thriving in the relaxed atmosphere homeschooling allows. I think all four of us at home like not having to break up "the gang" by sending one of us away for half a day every day. It is nice to have Beeper around to help and play with his brothers.

We are back in scouts again already. Yes, we were going to take a break, but we were asked to help on the pack committee for our church unit. We went to our first pack meeting as committee members last week, and it was a blast. Firebirdluver and I each had a small part of the program, but compared to running day camp or helping every week with Boys and Girls Club, putting together a skit is a piece of cake.

I took Beeper's training wheels off this last weekend and helped him practice a little. He is taking to two-wheeling quickly, and I am sure he will be riding like a pro in no time. He loves riding his bike.

He does not, however, love wearing his helmet. His head is too big for a child-size helmet, and I am having trouble getting the youth-size to fit right. Plus the chin strap drives him crazy. Any suggestions?

Good post!! about Beeper's helmet, maybe take him to a bike shop for a fitting-they may have some suggestions for a better fit.
